At May 1st until May 3rd , My friends, students of X graders and I joined camping in Pakem. We went there at Thursday.
First,we went there by foot. We gathered in the school and then we were there at 7 a.m. We walked there together. We walked along. We felt tired and also thirsty, but we enjoyed it,because it was like a little adventure.
We arrived there at about 9 a.m. We took a rest a moment. Then we built a tent. Then I joined a competition. The competition about scouting. And at 2 p.m. we joined the opening ceremony. The ceremony ran smoothly.and it was very crowded.
We enjoyed the activity. But, at 4 p.m. it rained heavily. So we placed our bag in the elementary school near our camping ground and we stayed there a night. At that time, we didn,t take a bath yet because it was very crowded. And finally I could take a bath at 6.30 p.m. i felt fresh.
We slept at 10 p.m. and at 2 a.m. we woke up. We walked with each group and we stopped in a house. The house was a lonely and haunted. I was afraid. But I force my self to be brave. And at 3 a.m.we came back to the place we were camping.
And at 7 a.m. we joined a ceremony. The ceremony commemorated our education day. We commemorate it every year. And this year, we commemorated it in Gebang not in our school. It was interesting and different.
At 2 p.m. we joined an outbond. We walked pass along road. And the road was very high and steep. We felt like walking in a mountion. We felt very tired. I wanted to give up. But, it was impossible to do. And finally, we reached the finish line. Yeah… i succeed to do it. I was strong.
At night, we joined a ceremony. And we watched a performanced from each group. It was very interisting. There were singing,drama,stand up comedy.and so on. We felt very happy.
And we slept at 9 p.m. we slept soundly. And we woke up at 4 a.m. Then we cleaned the school. And threw all the rubbish in the dustbin. And finally,the school was clean.
At 9 a.m. we joined a closing ceremony. It was very crowded. We were happy, but we were sad. Why? Because our camping was over. But it was special activity. Because we would know the result. And i listened carefully for the announcement. And my group won some contests. There were story telling,drawing,and we were the winner. We got a lot of reward. We were very happy. Our sacrifice was finally paid off. It was my interesting experience. We learned about responsibility, dicipline,working together,respecting each other,cleanliness ,and we learned a very important characteristic, it was tough.
We felt happy,tired,and also sad. We knew the meaning of dicipline and responsibility. We enjoyed the camping happily. It ran smoothly. And at 10.30 a.m. we came back home. Good bye Pakem……… J
